PARROTHEAD:
1. noun: A rare specimen of non-conformists that is an apparently normal
person that in reality is a restless dreamer and wild wanderer. Possessing a creative
imagination and pure gypsy soul, their dress consists of delightful yet creative and
comfortable clothing mainly of Colorful Caribbean design. Diet consist of Cheeseburgers
and Margaritas.
2. noun: A devotee of the music and life style of Jimmy Buffet.
Jimmy Buffett, the originator of "Caribbean, drunk, rock-n-roll" A true
sound of his own. Jimmy Buffett has found various outlets for his creativity; music and

The most relaxing Jimmy Buffett moment I ever had was in the Panama Canal. It was in
the fall of 1992 and I was in the U.S. Navy. We were going back home to Hawaii from
Curacao in the Caribbean. We were put on hold that day going through the Canal because a
nuclear sub got priority going through. We ended up going through the Canal late that
evening, about midnight I remember sitting on deck going through the Canal, the
part of the Canal was only about fifty yards wide and they have strings of lights going down along the
waterline. As automated as the canal transit is, it is an extremely long process. We were
cruising along pretty good, Jimmy Buffett, Songs You
Know By Heart was playing, and the string of lights made it seem like we were
cruising down a highway. It was very relaxing. |
